Since a little bit more than a year, my team (mostly my Ph.D. student Damien Brun Landry), me and Sébastien Georges (Prof. at Université du Maine, France) are working on a new hardware and software augmented reality prototype : the Carton.mobi project. It is a DIY and OpenSource AR Headset, inspired from the Google Cardboard project (Carton meaning “cardboard” in french).
This project was supported by 2 startups : L’Ile Imagin’air and 44 Screens; and by the NSERC.
