Carton.mobi Project

Since a little bit more than a year, my team (mostly my Ph.D. student Damien Brun Landry), me and Sébastien Georges (Prof. at Université du Maine, France) are working on a new hardware and software augmented reality prototype : the Carton.mobi project. It is a DIY and OpenSource AR Headset, inspired from the Google Cardboard project (Carton meaning “cardboard” in french).

This project was supported by 2 startups : L’Ile Imagin’air and 44 Screens; and by the NSERC.

Here is some press release on the project :

You can get involved in the project here : http://www.carton.mobi and the facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/cartonmobi.
